- Security
- It is very safe. There is sky patrol everywhere and the people are very courteous and shy responsibly; especially around beginners. The slopes are very wide, so there is plenty of space for everybody. Plus, they have a wide range of levels of slopes (green, blue, black diamond etc...)
- Food safety
- Food is great if you like american food. they have some restaurants at the top of the mountains. However, you can also make your own barbecue at the top of the mountains.
- Transport
- All kind of transportation: free shuttle service throughout town, bicycle rental, car rental. If you are driving in from Denver, I highly recommend taht you use an SUV (4 wheel drive). Otherwise, if you are flying in, most hotel there will ahve a shuttle picking you up and droping you off at the airport.
- Accomodation
- You can either book a hotel in Denver (lots of price options) and rent a car and drive to Vail in the morning (only 1h30 min away); sky all day and drive back to Denver late afternoon. Or book a room in Vail or Beaver Creek, however, the hotels there are more expensive.
- Communication
- Communication is great, you can have network reception on your cell phone even at the top of the mountains.
- Health care
- The have sky patrol staff that is highly equiped for any emergency. There is also an helicopter ambulance ready to fly a patient over to the nearest mediacl facility.
