We went into the countryside of Pakistan: in Rahimyar Khan and Sadiquabad. We flew from Karachi with Pakistan Airlines to Rahimyar Khan. It was a small airport. Once there, we went through both cities and the countryside. We mainly used two kinds of transportation:car and walking. We got to see the lifestyle of the locals. They were extremely welcoming so we were invited to eat and got gifts each time we had a conversation with someone (advice: to be able to follow the rhythm, eat only one piece of cake in each house!). While we were going through the city, we saw different types of monuments (a lot of heritage when Pakistan was part of India), mosquee, a lot of Coca-Cola stores (alcohol is not allowed for Pakistanis so Coca-Cola has invaded the country!)... We also walked through some Indian neighborhoods (Pakistan was previously part of India. Since its separation, Indians leaving there are apart from the rest of the population). Pakistanis dress either with the traditional outfits (colorful for women and discrete for men) or with occidental clothing. English is one of the official languages of the country so it is quite easy to communicate. They speak with a thick British accent.
In February, it was extremely warm and dry. Since there is almost no concrete in the villages, it is very dusty.
No I did not experience any security problems in Rahimyar Khan and Sadiquabad (countryside). It was completely safe. Pakistanis were willing to talk to us, welcome us and show us their city. We went through the cities and visited with Pakistanis.
I will write another page on Karachi, which is different in terms of security.
