The average annual temperature varies between 8°C along the western coast, and negative temperatures in mountain areas. The coldest months are January and February. Precipitations occur all year long, with frequent snowfalls in winter, especially within inland areas.

The tourist season in Norway runs from June to August, but you can also visit the country in May or September, as they are equally pleasant. Furthermore, tourist sites are open but not crowded, though some many hiking routes might be closed until early June.
